Welcome To Conrad Maldives. Part 2

written by Julia Lundin December 13, 2016
Let’s carry on talking about my wonderful stay at Conrad Maldives guys! As promised in PART 1 this time I am going to tell you all about the resort’s food options and various activities. Buckle up, as it’s going to sound and look delicious!

FOOD

Conrad Maldives was named the ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Culinary Resort’ by the World Travel Awards 2015 and let me tell you that once you are there it’s very easy to understand why. You can choose to have meal and drinks between 8 restaurants and 4 bars which if you are staying there for a week allows you have a different type of cuisine every day. Here is a bit more about a few of them.

ITHAA is the world’s first all-glass undersea restaurant serving contemporary cuisine. It’s an absolute MUST visit place in Maldives and you have probably seen it on your social media feeds before! This place is famous and for a very good reason. The jaw dropping undersea setting is unforgettable. Have you ever had champagne while being surrounded by grey reef sharks, ‘Nemos’ and ‘Dories’? It’s amazing!

UFAA BY JEREME LEUNG is a Chinese cuisine restaurant headed by a Chinese Celebrity chef. We had a pleasure of having a private dim sum and noodles making masterclass for lunch and an amazing dinner on the beach for a dinner.

MANDHOO restaurant is set on stilts in the lagoon right near the Spa and offers a menu that has been specially prepared to energise, nourish, detoxify, relax and fortify the body. You also get to observe a fish feeding once a day there which is a whole experience on it’s own.

ATOLL MARKET is where you an have both breakfast and dinner. The buffet style restaurant offers eight different cuisines from around the world.

KOKO GRILL is an amazing Japanese cuisine restaurant offering you a 10 course tasting menu.

SUNSET GRILL is set over the water and specializes in grilled seafood and meat.

QUIET ZONE is a perfect place to have pre and post dinner drinks right on the beach.

ACTIVITIES

Giving that the resort is located over two islands and has no towns or any ‘out-of-resort’ places to visit, you will never have time to be bored or struggling to find an activity (that is if you want something else to do besides eating the best food ever and enjoying the sun and the water). You can do almost any water sport and activity if you are keen. From diving and snorkeling to going on a sunset dolphin cruise – Conrad Maldives has got your wishes and needs covered. Don’t forget the impeccable Spa with its numerous treatments, a sunset or a sunrise yoga class and you are in a paradise.

Sounds and looks pretty good, right? I still have more pictures to show you in my next post, so stay with me guys!
